Vidya teaches Vedic Maths as a coherent system — 16 sutras attributed honestly to Bharati Krishna Tirthaji's 1965 compilation — sequenced across six levels for kids ages 8 to 16. Not shortcuts. A method.
The 3-6-9 ideology
Vidya is part of the Cosmos369 platform — nine consumer verticals, each built on the same architectural ideology: three specialists, six steps, nine domains. For math education, the three specialists are the trinity below.
Assessor
Runs the 15-minute diagnostic. Names exactly where your child is — strong, hesitant, or shaky — in each of: speed, accuracy, concept coverage, and school-math transfer.
Curriculum Architect
Designs the 12-week regimen for the child's placed level. Selects which sutras, which problems, which transfer bridges. Adapts based on weekly progress.
Practice Partner
Shows up daily. Adapts the next problem. Offers three-level hints (never the answer). Flags struggle to the teacher quietly, never as a public flag.
The trinity runs a six-step loop: Intake → Diagnose → Plan → Execute → Verify → Hand-off. Every concept moves through all six steps. Verify before Hand-off is non-negotiable — your child never advances past a concept they haven't actually mastered.
The six levels — 12 weeks each
A child placed at Level 1 today can complete the full curriculum in approximately three years of consistent practice. Most children spend 12-14 weeks per level; advanced students can accelerate.

The six pedagogy principles
These principles distinguish Vidya from "math tricks" programs. They're also the source of our differentiation — most online math programs would have to redesign from scratch to honor them.
Concept before shortcut
Every sutra is introduced via the pattern that makes it work, BEFORE the computational shortcut. Children understand why 5 × 86 = half of 860, not just that it does.
Honest sutra attribution
Sanskrit sutra names + Bharati Krishna Tirthaji's 1965 compilation cited at every introduction. The historical provenance is honestly framed (the Vedic origin claim is contested); the pedagogical value is not.
Speed without anxiety
Speed targets are personal-best benchmarks. Cohorts compete against their own week-ago selves, not against each other. We do not publish individual leaderboards.
Spiral progression
Concepts revisit at deeper levels — Nikhilam appears for number bonds in L2, multiplication in L3, division in L4. Each pass deepens understanding rather than replacing it.
Confidence as outcome
Every week ends with a problem the student can definitely solve. The build-up of small wins is the engine that produces number confidence over months.
Transfer is taught explicitly

On the sutras — honestly
The 16 sutras and 13 sub-sutras taught at Vidya come from Jagadguru Swami Sri Bharati Krishna Tirthaji's 1965 compilation, Vedic Mathematics: Sixteen Simple Mathematical Formulae from the Vedas.
Their direct attribution to the Vedas themselves is historically contested. The sutras do not appear in the standard Vedic corpus; they were arranged and named by Bharati Krishna in the 20th century. We credit the work to him.
What is not contested: the sutras are pedagogically sound, build real number sense, and root the system in Indian mathematical tradition. We teach them because they work — and we cite the source honestly.
